Defense Minister Rajnath Singh
National News: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has sent out a strong and uncompromising message against terrorism, asserting that India’s security forces respond only on the basis of a terrorist’s actions, not their religion. His statement came while recalling the recent Pahalgam terror attack, an incident that shocked the nation for the sheer brutality with which innocents were targeted.
Speaking at the inauguration of the Adarsh Defence and Sports Academy in Jodhpur, Singh described how terrorists in Pahalgam identified their victims on religious grounds before killing them. He strongly condemned this act, saying: “They killed people after asking their religion, but our soldiers responded by targeting terrorists only for their crimes, not their faith.”
The minister’s words highlighted a sharp contrast between the extremist mindset of terror groups and the principles of the Indian Army, which always upholds humanity even during the toughest battles.

Recalling India’s military response, Singh said the army did not sit quietly after the Pahalgam killings. Instead, Indian troops crossed into Pakistan-occupied areas and demolished terror hideouts with precise strikes. Pakistan, in frustration, attempted to fire missiles into Indian territory. But India’s armed forces immediately countered with a powerful response that clearly conveyed a message: any aggression against India will invite a stronger retaliation.
The Defence Minister also cited Operation Sindoor as a prime example of India’s modern combat readiness. He explained that during the operation, the Army executed targeted strikes with accuracy and ensured complete destruction of the enemy’s position. According to him, this operation proved that India has moved away from a defensive stance to a strategy of calculated and effective offensives whenever required.
Singh underlined that India’s current defense posture is built on courage, advanced technology, and the unwavering determination of soldiers who never hesitate to act when the nation’s security is challenged.
Alongside military matters, Rajnath Singh also touched upon another crucial pillar of national growth—education. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s reforms in the sector, noting that significant improvements have been made in recent years. “The difference visible in the education sector today compared to earlier times is India’s true strength. This change reflects the future we are building,” he said. The defense minister stressed that education empowers youth with knowledge and vision, while defense guarantees safety. Together, these two sectors secure India’s progress, stability, and global standing.
Rajnath Singh’s remarks in Jodhpur delivered a dual message—a warning to terrorists and Pakistan that India’s patience should never be mistaken for weakness, and an assurance to citizens that education reforms are shaping a stronger future. His words reflected both India’s unshakable defense spirit and its commitment to progress through knowledge.
